My favourite cellar tour and tasting!
Our guide was so knowledgeable and I really enjoyed hearing the history and seeing how the house incorporated art into its current activities.
The champagnes were of course excellent too!
Wow amazing champagne that’s so delicious. I’ve been here before and this is my return visit and still so excited to be back. The 2010 Dom Ruinart was voted best in world in 2023 and this part of the tasting.
Fantastic! A wonderfully relaxed but informative tour. With tasting in a comfortable lounge area.
This was by far my favourite tour within Champagne.
Hands down one of the best experience as we’ve ever had. We arrived unfortunately to a French speaking tour, but our wonderful host Leo took care of everything and did our tour specifically in English. We were genuinely blown away by his passion and enthusiasm and knowledge for the champagne Maison. We were already massive Ruinart fans but after touring the crayees and understanding the true history and legacy, and heritage of this incredible champagne, we are lifelong devotees now. Strongly recommend anyone who likes the bubbles to head along..
The highlight of my trim to Reims is definitely the visit to Maison Ruinart. It costs €70 for a private tour of not more than 10 people, so you are guaranteed an intimate tour. If you purchase the Reims tourism pass, you can get a 10% discount on the price.
Our guide was on such a engaging storyteller that left me with a renewed appreciation of the brand and the craft of champagne making. The 2 hours tour ended with 2 glasses of champagne, one of them a vintage so you can draw your own comparison.
I won’t recommend to purchase their classic champagne at the store as you can get it cheaper in retails shops outside. Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there will be lots of walking and the fact that you descend 30m below means you’ll have to walk back up.
I can only recommend to visit Ruinart when in Reims. We had a lovely brunch experience (wide variety of fresh products, great service and of course, amazing champagne) followed by a very instructive tour of the cellar. Thank you again Morgan!
I visited Champagne Ruiart Crayères, as you step into this underground marvel, you'll be transported to a world of elegance and sophistication. The vaulted ceilings, create a captivating ambiance that perfectly complements the Champagne aging process. 🍾

What an amazing experience! We did the 2 hours tour which included cellar tour and a tasting of vintage and “regular” champagnes. Our tour guide was amazing, the champagne was delicious and the estate is just beautiful. If you’re in Reims, don’t miss out on the oldest champagne house in the world!
